Nein, keine Sorge. Barracuda wurde bisher nicht darauf angesprochen und sie haben auch betont nicht schliessen zu wollen/muessen.

Restaurants haben an Wochentagen noch bis Mitternacht auf. An den Wochenenden haben die Restaurants bis 1 am geoeffnet.

UAQ night clubs to be shut down

Umm Al Quwain: Nightclubs all over the emirate will be shut down effective from May 1 this year, following a decision taken by the emirate's Economic Department and the emirate's police.

Restaurants, even those which serve alcohol, will work normally but restrictions have been put on their working hours which will be limited to a midnight deadline on week days. On the weekends the deadline will be expanded by an hour to close at 1am.
Colonel Sultan Al Showaikh, the Director General of the Umm Al Quwain Police Headquarters, said "the decision which has been carefully studied targets the nightclubs, discos, and the noisy parties organised in these places, which last until the mornings."

The nightclubs and discos in the emirate will be totally banned and those which already exist [five of them] will be shut down once the new decision is officially put in place.

"The Umm Al Quwain Police totally supported the decision which is expected to spread safety and stability in the society," Al Showaikh said.

"When the work in these nightclubs is over at sunrise, drunken people commit many accidents and get involved in fights. To preserve the interest of the individuals and the general interests of the public, and to ascertain total safety of the people and secure the public security, the ban decision of the nightclubs was taken," he said.

He stressed that supervising the implementation will be the responsibility of the emirate's Police and Economic Department.

"We look forward to protecting the public, especially the families which proved to have suffered a lot because of the nightclubs," Al Showaikh said.
